The event is organized by prof. Paolo Leonardi (University of Bologna) and prof. Diego Marconi (University of Turin) and it comes at the end of the national research project Aspects of Truth.

The conference will be hosted at the University of Turin (Department of Philosophy, Aula “M. Allara”, Palazzo del Rettorato, via Po 17, Turin) in June 3-4 and at the University of Bologna (Scuola Superiore Studi Umanistici, via Marsala 26, Bologna) in June 5-6 .

Conference on Truth (and Relativism), Torino and Bologna, 3-6 June, 2010

Directions - Torino

If you are coming to Torino by plane (Caselle airport), take a taxi (about 30€) or the airport bus to Porta Nuova (5,50€; tickets cannot be bought on the bus. There is a ticket counter on the Arrivals level, next to the Tourist Office). The bus leaves from across the Arrivals section every 45 minutes on holydays (June 2 is a national holyday in Italy). It takes about 40 minutes to Porta Nuova, 35 to Porta Susa.

If you are coming by plane through Milano, Linate airport, take the bus to Milano, Stazione Centrale (20 minutes, 5€; leaves every 30 minutes on holydays; tickets can be bought on the bus), then a train to Torino Porta Nuova. If you are coming through Milano, Malpensa airport, take the direct bus to Torino if you can (schedule at http://www.aeroportomalpensa.it/trasporti/
malpensatorino.htm; it takes a couple of hours and costs 18€). Get off at Porta Susa (not at the terminal station, Corso Vittorio), then follow directions for arrival by train (below). If your schedule does not allow you to take the direct bus, take the train to Milano Cadorna ("Malpensa Express", 40 minutes, leaves every 30 minutes, 11€), then the Metro to Stazione Centrale, then a train to Torino Porta Nuova. Or take the direct bus to Stazione Centrale ("Malpensa Shuttle", 7,50€, 50 minutes, slow in case of heavy traffic), then the train to Torino.

If you are coming by train and arrive at Porta Nuova station, you will be at walking distance from the city center and the hotels and conference venue. If you arrive at Porta Susa, you can reach the conference venue either by taxi or by the tram 13 or the bus 56 across the station's main entrance. Get off at the second stop in Via Po (see map). Bus and tramway tickets (1€ - same ticket for bus, tram and metro) can be bought at any newspaper stand or tobacco shop.
